Our receptionists are your first point of contact with us. They have a very difficult job to do, often dealing with people who are medically unwell and upset. They try to balance the demand for appointments with other duties, such as responding to telephone calls and carrying out administative support for the doctors. If they ask you about the nature of your medical problem, it is because this information is helpful in order to liaise with the medical team to ensure your needs are met appropriately.
Our reception manager is Adele Metcalfe.
They will try their best to be helpful, efficient and polite at all times. Rarely, patients may feel that they are being unhelpful. If this is the case, please speak to our Practice Manager if you feel unhappy about this (details below).
We operate a “Zero Tolerance" policy towards abusive and threatening behaviour or violence. We will always report such incidents to the police, and patients who behave improperly may be taken off our list and banned from the surgery.
