WHEN WE ARE CLOSED

If you require urgent medical attention or an urgent home visit by a doctor (one that cannot wait until the next day) when the surgery is closed, please telephone 111 (local out-of-hours cover provided by the Hurley Group).

If you need to attend hospital because of a serious injury or illness, the nearest Accident & Emergency department is at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich. Please do not attend Casualty except in case of a real emergency; remember that the waiting time is often several hours. We will always try to see you in the surgery as quickly as possible if you explain to the receptionist that you need medical attention.

There are two local Urgent Care Centres (UCC): Queen Mary’s Hospital (open 24-hours a day) and Erith Hospital (every day 8am to 10pm). These are for treating urgent but non-life threatening conditions. This can include broken bones, sprains and strains, burns, scalds, bites and stings.
